I was reading a blog this morning and found an image of something I created for Country Home Magazine a couple of years ago.  I followed the photo credits trail and found a bunch of my work on Discovering it was a strange but good feeling because ever since Country Home closed it's doors I figured images of my freelance work would just disappear. As I comb through the site I will share other images.

good goods

We just got a shipment at the shop of lovely shams and quilts as well as a new batch of kitchen textiles and cute fabric storage bags for sewing implements.

good day

I spent the day with a photographer and a fellow recruit scouting locations for a big photo shoot I am art directing and styling in October. The place was filled with potential "perfect shots" so it will be tough to narrow the wish list down.I can't make this stuff up.It really is this beautiful! The best part, we will be staying there during the shoot. Not too sure we will get to enjoy any of the amenities because we will be working so I am thinking of booking some extra days just to take it easy with family.

more pics

More pics courtesy of Afton Waring Boultinghouse, pictured here with Kyle Milsap at the wedding.

I hope you're not tired of seeing pictures from Halli's wedding cause they are going to keep coming. : )
This is a selection from her favor table.
These are the napkin rings I made using vintage fabric, burlap & ribbon.
These are the super cute pom poms that everyone threw at them after the ceremony (instead of rice).
This is a selection of the paper goods we used for serving the food & beverages.
These straw fans were a last minute addition and with 90 degree temperatures I know the guests were grateful.

nss update

News from the National Stationery Show:  we made the most of seriously slim pickins.  The show was about 40% filled compared to years past.  The good stuff was really good and the bad stuff was really bad.  Meg and me managed to find some nice new lines for the store and reordered from ones we already stock.  My fave?  Old Tom Foolery (image above).  The best part of this show is actually meeting the designers of the line you are considering and in this case it was a super cute couple, he is a former copy writer and she is a former art director.  His wicked sense of humor + her art direction = a winning combination.  Look for it @home soon.

more wedding pictures

I found some more pictures of Halli & Adam's wedding on my friend Clare's facebook page. This set includes one Clare and her hubby Ben demonstrating the stick on moustaches from the candy/favor table and one of them in front of the truck Halli and her mom drove up in before the ceremony. Flowers, candy table, cake topper, cute musicians, cupcakes & cocktails. Thank you Clare for taking such lovely pictures. Keep'em coming everybody.

halli & adam's wedding

These are some of the shots I took while we were setting up the barn for Halli and Adam's wedding. We had a small army of family and friends lending a helping hand and we needed it! There were over a 1,000 feet of cafe lights, 100s of yards of yellow and muslin fabric, over 60 gigantic balloons, 28 tables & table covers, 180 chairs, 30 pine benches, 12 rocking chairs, 20 red & white tissue pinwheels, 40 lbs. of candy, 25 flower arrangements, 30 hay bales, miscellaneous wire baskets, jars and props from the store, a popcorn machine, a cotton candy machine, a kissing booth and a photo booth.  Amazing!

For those of you that inquired about the geographical pull down map in my son's room there is one on ebay right now.
