more wedding pictures

I found some more pictures of Halli & Adam's wedding on my friend Clare's facebook page. This set includes one Clare and her hubby Ben demonstrating the stick on moustaches from the candy/favor table and one of them in front of the truck Halli and her mom drove up in before the ceremony. Flowers, candy table, cake topper, cute musicians, cupcakes & cocktails. Thank you Clare for taking such lovely pictures. Keep'em coming everybody.

halli & adam's wedding

These are some of the shots I took while we were setting up the barn for Halli and Adam's wedding. We had a small army of family and friends lending a helping hand and we needed it! There were over a 1,000 feet of cafe lights, 100s of yards of yellow and muslin fabric, over 60 gigantic balloons, 28 tables & table covers, 180 chairs, 30 pine benches, 12 rocking chairs, 20 red & white tissue pinwheels, 40 lbs. of candy, 25 flower arrangements, 30 hay bales, miscellaneous wire baskets, jars and props from the store, a popcorn machine, a cotton candy machine, a kissing booth and a photo booth. Amazing!

Here are some images from Halli and Adam's wedding over the weekend. I was the wedding planner and I had my hands full most of the time so I totally forgot to take pictures. So these pics are from their friend Kyle Fisher via facebook. If I can track down some more I promise to share. It was the most special wedding I have ever planned. A labor of love.

busy, busy, busy

The tour of homes is over (images soon) and Halli and Adam's wedding was yesterday (too busy to take pictures but I will track some down) so now I can rest a little and let life get back to normal. Both events went really well and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. The lovely gals from Country Living and two very cute photographers from Charleston captured the wedding for an upcoming feature in the magazine. Flattering for sure!

I will post more about both events later. For now I am signing off to enjoy mother's day with the family and get some rest.

our story

In the spring of 2000, a life long dream came true when I opened my first shop in a tiny storefront in downtown Savannah. Within three years we had outgrown that little store and the search for a larger location began. I settled on a centrally located space with more visibility and foot traffic. After spending three years in the second location, we found ourselves once again craving more space. As luck would have it we found an enormous turn of the century storefront on Savannah's premier shopping street. We remained there until the winter of 2010 when we closed our doors due to the lagging economy. @home was recognized as one of the most inspiring, stylish and original stores in the area.

the people behind the magic...

I couldn't have done this without the support of my husband. He is the motivating force behind the visionary. He helps me do everything from building projects to rearranging to hunting for antiques all while running his own successful custom furniture business and helping raise our beautiful son.

I also had the distinct pleasure of sharing my shop with a talented and inspiring group of girls (past & present) that contribute to the creative environment on a daily basis.

then there is me...

I was a bit bohemian growing up with a love for old things so I savored the opportunity to work in an antique shop in my early twenties. I quickly realized that this was my calling. In 1995 I moved to Savannah, GA to obtain a BFA at the Savannah College of Art & Design. Shortly after graduation I opened the shop and the rest is history.

my other job...

In 2003, an editor from a national magazine took me under his wing and introduced me to the editorial process. As a freelance producer and photo stylist I have worked with incredibly gifted people that continue to inspire and challenge me. My work is reflective of the environment and aesthetic of my former shop. @home served as a creative laboratory filled with elements that I pullred into my features. I have produced and styled magazine features, purchased and supplied props for video, television, film and print media.

my most recent endeavor...

In the spring of 2009 I launched Elizabeth Demos Event Design & Styling (www.elizabethdemos.com). I'm available for full event design and coordination both near and far. It has been a natural transition from shop owner to event designer. I have the opportunity to incorporate all the things I love the most; being creative, working with people, exploring my imagination and inventive design.
